Showered with love...

This cake was made for a baby shower today celebrating the upcoming birth of a baby girl.

This french vanilla cake is filled and iced in a creamy traditional butter cream.

I made the bear, pacifier, and shoes out of sugar paste and all are entirely edible.
Happy Shower Day Momma- enjoy being with those that love you and are delighted about the upcoming birth of your daughter!

Congratulations Jacob Henry...

Last night our son Jacob was awarded his yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do. The ceremony was so beautiful. We got to see the young black belt boys test for their second belt, and they had to break five boards in 20 seconds. It was serious stuff, the boys who ranged in age from about 10 to 15 testing last night would not be eligible for another test for six months if they didn't pass last night. Thankfully each boy was able to pass. Jacob was in awe and can't wait for his turn.
Thankfully yellow belt comes first, and that is what we're celebrating! There was a potluck at the dojo following the ceremony. Our family brought cake... :)
This french vanilla cake is filled with a raspberry filling and iced in traditional butter cream (Jacob's favorite cake) Master Kim wrote congratulations in Korean, per Jacob's request, and I piped it in blue butter cream.
Congratulations to our Little Man Jacob Henry, and to all of the boys who were awarded their new belts last night! Well done boys! Keep up the amazing work! Focus your Eyes... Focus your mind... Focus your body... Tae Kwon Do...

Heard the Buzzzz...

There is another baby on the way!! This cake was so much fun to make. The party ware is so elegant, it is a yellow and white damask and a black and white damask, with Buzzy Bee's as the theme.

This cake is a classic yellow cake with all butter cream icing and royal icing buzzy bee's. I love this cake!

Sweet Caroline...

This cake was made for Sweet Caroline's very first birthday. The mom loves a more classic look and loves monograms, so I used the colors to match her invitation and loved making this cake.

My favorite parts are the double border at the bottom that make it look like a tutu around the cake, and the butter cream pearl beading around the top. I think it looks very feminine.

This is a moist white sponge cake with all butter cream icing!

I think it is a very pretty, feminine and personalized idea. There will be plenty of themed parties when you can't do anything but Micky Mouse on demand, so I really like the simplicity of her idea.
As party favors she is going to have round cookies made with her monogram too!
