Lego Man...

This cake is made for a little boy who lives on our street, and is in my daughter's class. She thinks this little boy is about as cute as they get. (I'm trying to stay cool about all this.. :)

Any who, this cake is a classic yellow cake with strawberry filling and butter cream icing. The Lego's are made out of little bitty cakes, and are totally edible!

Happy 6th Birthday Harrison!

Mark 10:14...

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Anthony will be baptized on Sunday and of course his family will celebrate the occasion!

God our father, knows the number of hairs on Anthony's head. He put them there!

Babies are such a beautiful reminder of his love for us, that is how he sees us. As his children, not as the regular old human beings we feel like, but as his precious beautiful child.

God Bless you Anthony!

Fiesta NOT Siesta...

Boy, Oh Boy!

This cake is for a blue baby shower, as in... It's a Boy!!! I was very excited to do this cake, I love baby showers.
There is something so very special about a becoming a mother for the first time. The whole experience of motherhood is bewildering, but in those first few days and months Gods love just feels so close as you hold your newborn.

The guest of honor will soon hold her son, but for now I hope she enjoys opening her presents, and oohh and aahh-ing over the tiny clothes. That is fun. Most of all I hope she enjoys her cake! :
This is a classic white cake with traditional butter cream icing as a filling and rolled fondant icing.

A Thank You...

I made this cake for the nursing staff that are taking care of my mom in the Intensive Care Unit. She has pneumonia in all five lobes of both of her lungs, and is very very sick. She has been on a ventilator since last Monday night and I just really miss her voice terribly. If you know us, we talk at least four times a day on the phone.

Today brings new hope, and I am hopeful! Thank you to all of my amazing friends and family who are helping and praying for our family! I wish I could make you all a cake, but there are too many of you! How blessed am I?

This cake is a dark chocolate sponge cake with strawberry filling and butter cream icing!

My hope is that this cake makes the nurses day and in turn they make my moms!

Here Comes The Bride...

And her cupcakes are dressed in white...
These little cakes are lovely I think. I made 30 for a wedding shower.

15 cakes are chocolate, and 15 are lemon with a traditional butter cream swirl on top and a big fondant bow! The fondant is dusted with luster dust, and looks so pretty.

Happy Wedding Shower Day!

M-I-C-K-E-Y Mouse...

Matthew 26:26-29

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat this is My body.
Then He took the cup and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying "Drink from it, all of you".
"For this is My blood of the new covenant , which is shed for the remission of sins."
This cake is to celebrate Ben's first communion. God Bless you Ben, and remember always, you are forgiven because of the cross!

This cake is a rich french vanilla with a lemon filling, and traditional butter cream icing.

Puzzled...

These petit fours are for Brianne's birthday. Her friend is going to surprise her with these petit fours jumbled up and when she figures out the puzzle, they will spell out "Happy Birthday Brianne"
These petit fours are not traditional, but delicious all the same. They are a creamy buttered pecan! The letters are piped with Ghirardelli chocolate. Only the best of course!

Happy Birthday Brianne!

P is for...

Pretty, Pink, Purple, Princess... Camila wanted a cake like Sara's cake, so I made her one. It is similar, but a bit different. For starters, I think Camila's is more "grown up" since she is turning five whole years old. Sara was only turning three- the pink is more vibrant, it has bubble letters and her crown is adorned by an edible glittered heart just for her! Hopefully all her little heart could desire in a cake!

The cake itself is a dense vanilla cake with a creamy butter cream between each layer, and covered in fondant.

Happy Birthday Camila! We love you!

TGIF...

It's the weekend! Are you going to a dinner party? Don't bring wine, someone else will do that!
Bring dessert!

Roberta is bringing this Italian Cream Cake to a dinner party, and I bet her host will be delighted!

Golden...

This is a special cake! This cake was done to match Carolina's fifth birthday invitation, and her mother put so much thought into the details of both, I was excited to have the opportunity to be part of such a special celebration.

The cake itself is a dense chocolate cake with raspberry filling and covered in rolled fondant.

The fondant is colored gold and dusted with gold luster dust in honor of her golden birthday. This is new to me, but it is celebrated when you age is the same as the day you were born, for instance Carolina's birthday was April 5th and she turned five.

The white Swiss dots on the cake are done in butter cream and dusted with edible glitter be diamond like as her birthstone for April are diamonds. (A girls best friend)

And the silhouette on the cake is done in chocolate fondant.

Happy Birthday Carolina!

Luke 4:10

For it is written: "'He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully.

Noah will be baptised on Sunday, and of course his family will celebrate the beautiful promise of new life in baptism with cake!
This is a moist vanilla cake with butter cream between the two layers, and covered in rolled fondant. All piping detail is done in traditional butter cream.
God Bless You Noah, you are loved!

Little Girls Love Horses...

I'm not sure what the amazement is with pony's and horses, but all little girls love them. We all wanted a pony at one time or another, right ladies? :) My daughters have the complete Pony Village set up in our playroom.

Georgia loves horses too, her birthday is themed around them. That's why I made 30 vanilla cupcakes with butter cream grass, a fondant flower and horse on top!

Happy Birthday Georgia!

All that is Pink...

These french vanilla petit fours are for a baby shower tomorrow. I made 50, petit fours, each adorned with a pretty little set of booties, a little bear, a little bitty sweet face, or a little carriage.

Happy Baby Shower Day, Mommy to be!

Girlie Girl...

This cake is for one of my daughters best friends at school, so needless to say there was a lot of spectating during the decorating of this cake. No pressure on my part at all... Right? :)

I am delighted to say both girls loved the cake. The best part of making a birthday cake for a child is to watch them when they see the cake the first time. Their little proud faces are priceless!
This is a moist french vanilla cake with traditional butter cream icing and a fondant tiara on top. The hearts in the tiara are covered in edible glitter!

Happy 6th Birthday Sophie!

Sweet as can be...

I just love this cake, and I love the little girl I've made it for. I made her little sister's cake and she couldn't wait for me to make her cake, in fact I saw her recently at a birthday party and she said "You're gonna make my cake!" Very serious stuff you know... Happy Birthday Kennedy, I loved making your cake, and I hope you have a very special and fun filled day!

This is a moist vanilla cake with classic butter cream between each of the four layers. Iced in butter cream with fondant accents!

Little Boy Blue...

This sweet cake is for a baby shower! It's a boy!

This is a classic butter cake with strawberry filling and milky chocolate icing! I hope the momma to be enjoys every single bite!

Scooby Dooby Doo, Where are you...

So, here is Scooby's Mystery Machine! This was a fun cake to make. The green and blue are beautiful together, and remind me of the peacock pattern in the Vera Bradley Bags. Yes, I'm thinking purses while making cakes! :)

This vanilla cake with classic butter cream icing and has 40 cupcakes in coordinating colors. One cupcake even has a completely edible fondant Scooby himself!

Up to Par...

A Tiskit a Tasket...

Put all of your eggs in the basket...

I made 24 of these bunnies and 24 of these Easter basket cupcakes. The fun thing about them was each was just a little bit different, since they were all handmade. They were made for an Easter Brunch.

Happy Easter!

Reminded...

I've made four dozen of these cupcakes for the Easter Egg Hunt at our church on Saturday. I love Easter Eggs, and Easter Egg hunts. I especially love the cupcakes after Easter Egg Hunts, but I most grateful for the reason we celebrate Easter.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

I'll remember the cross Jesus carried for me tomorrow, and also remember the good news, He is Risen!
